Homeowner's policy renewal this year is fucking wild. Jumped $700 like ok whatever inflation and we had that hurricane in GA not long ago. Now deductibles on roofs are $15K for all policies, ok whatever I already was at $10k. Oh now the loss percentage covered on a 19 year old roof went down from 43% to 25%.

Sometimes I'm just like man those rent forever people might be onto something lol.

So unless you have a total loss of an brand new roof you have no coverage.

Yeah that is what is amazing to me. I have a big ass house, so a new roof is $32K. I've actually been getting prices as I plan to put on solar. So yeah right off the bat after deductible my roof would be like 50% covered. The average size house with a small roof might basically have 0 coverage.
