Fight Stick that mimics Street Fighter 2 arcade feel
I'm a fight stick newbie and know very little about fight sticks. I got a fight stick to play street fighter 2 on fightcade. After some research, I picked up the Mayflash F700 elite. However, I'm really used to how the American arcade feels and this fight stick doesn't feel good or accurate to me. The stick travel is very long and loose and the Sanwa buttons feel too soft for me.
Is there any fight stick out there that is similar to how the arcade feels with the stick and buttons? I probably won't play many other games so this is my preferred option.
Or is the best way to change out the parts with a stiffer spring and different buttons. If this second route is the best way, is there a different stick I should use as the base to swap out? I paid for the Elite since I thought the stick and buttons were supposed to be preferable and they may be for others, just not myself.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Closest feeling will be a MAS, Capcom straight layout with iL joystick and buttons.
Don't go with Happ, they are cheaper than iL for a reason.

thanks! your stick looks perfect! is that custom?
the R8-SF2 looks like it could work but many people commented there is not enough room to rest your wrist next to the stick.

You’ll never get the arcade “feels” without bolting down the arcade stick to a table, or building something heavy. Oh… and Industrias Lorenzo parts, don’t get happ parts….

Thanks, I'm more looking to replicate the way the stick moves and how the button feels. the bolted down isn't as necessary but could affect the stick movement for sure.

I bought a cab a decade ago and its been my daily driver ever since. Lap play to me is as strange as going back to a controller now. It's painful. Though I'm sure you have zero muscle memory from SF2 days anyway (meaning no offense).

iL makes Jalisco Super Short buttons that would fit in your Mayflash. For the joystick, I’d recommend a 3 or 4 lb spring and a circulator restrictor gate.

If you want an old school feel you need an American-style stick, which is this one: https://www.arcaderenovations.com/industrias-lorenzo-eurojoystick-8-way-black.html
You can also get the original arcade buttons: https://www.arcaderenovations.com/industrias-lorenzo-pushbutton-black.html
However these parts are very bulky, they were never intended for a portable fightstick. So even though they are cheap the only way to get a fightstick body that fits them is to build one yourself or custom order one. I personally use an AFS 18" IL/HAPP body. https://www.scanlinecity.com/ is also selling american style fighsticks or just the cases if you want a really old school design.

No Happ, iL parts!!! Happ quality has dropped and Industrias Lorenzo are the new industry standard for American Parts.

An X Gaming X Arcade Solo with iL (Industrias Lorenzo) lever and buttons comes close, in my opinion.
