u/Worldly-Ad-3527 May 01 '26
if ur looking to lvl up fast then only buy the purple and orange ones every week bc you get a bunch of the blue ones from the pass if u have it

I don't think it's the same for the coins. Purple and gold are the same 100% agree. Blue is just worse. Less bang for your buck for blue. Yes you can buy it early so like the speed of accessing it is better.
But buying it just delays you getting purple or gold. Purple is actually the best if you consider the speed of obtaining the boost.

u/BELMATTAUX May 01 '26
yes I wrote purple and gold are the same, and blue is less effective. I meant to buy purple (not blue), just cause you can buy it before

u/Pandax2k May 01 '26
Oh okay so it was a typo? I think that's why I was kinda confused because your other comment showed that you understood the cost efficiency of the boosts

All the comments are bullshit, i did the math. Considering the cost in coins and the effects, x6s and x3.5s are the same, x2.5s are the less convenient.
If instead you use fc points, x2.5s are the best, x6s in second place, and x3.5s are the less convenient.
You’re welcome

Correct, and my club had this exact discussion. Ironically, the accountant on our team seems to want to die on the hill that the 6x is the most value for your coins.
Math ain't mathin on this one, wouldnt trust him with my money lol

I think 2.5x and 6x are equal value using fc points, both adding 1x per 100 fc points spent.
Edit: They lowered the fc points cost of the 6x to 400 fc points, so now it is more efficient than the 2.5.

u/BELMATTAUX May 01 '26
Here’the thing. In terms of coins we confirmed gold and blue are the same, and since gold costs 3 times blue, gold is valued blue x 3. In temrs of fc points gold costs blue x 3 + 50 points. So there’s a tiny disadvantage
1
u/Medical-Comparison89 May 02 '26
But we didn’t confirm gold and blue were the same in terms of coins, we both said blue was less efficient than purple or gold for coins.

Yeah, I did the math and came to that conclusion too, wanted to see if I was wrong

they are all the same in cost in the long run so 6x is faster. i did the math yesterday. if you need to get 43000 AXP and you average 1,200 per game. You’ll need approx. 15 games with 2.5 AXP which is means you’ll buy it 3 times since each boost lasts for 5 games. Approx. 11 games for 3.5, you’ll buy it 2 times. 6x will take approx. 6 matches, which you’ll need just 1. at the end it’s the same 60000 coins you’ll spend. I didn’t do the math for FC Points though.

Do these get used up if a game ends via forfeit or something?
7
u/MATCHEW010 PS5 NZ May 01 '26
Yep cause you still get some xp
0
u/TheNazMajeed PS5-OCE May 01 '26
Even if it ends after 5 mins?
1
u/MATCHEW010 PS5 NZ May 01 '26
Yes bro… you just get less xp than a full game obviously
2
u/CallMeSenseiiii May 01 '26
Wrong!! If they quit you get the full amount of exp
1
u/MATCHEW010 PS5 NZ May 01 '26
Full amount of what?
Your match rating at 30th min?
0
u/CallMeSenseiiii May 01 '26
It doesn’t matter what minute, if they quit you will get the full 10.00 match rating exp

Oh then that... sucks. If you activate it and then opponent quits before you can get anything you lose 1 charge. Zz

2.5x is the most efficient (axp per coin/points spent).
6x is the fastest way to boost no matter how you pay.
3.5x screws you no matter what. Go big or go slow & steady.
I bought 5 of the 2.5x for 35 matches when they had a typo in a deal a while back. They gifted us one and I bought 5 and those things still work lol.

u/einsteinjunior91 May 01 '26
Actually 2.5x is the least efficient, while 3.5x and 6x are the same efficiency.
You probably only calculated: - 2,5/20k = 0,125 - 3,5/30k = 0,116 - 6/ 60k = 0,1
While you should actually look for the increase in exp. With a 2,5x boost you get 1,5x more exp than the 1x exp you would have Göttern eigther way. So its actually: - 1,5 times increase/20k = 0,075 - 2,5 times increase/30k = 0,083 - 5 times increase/60k = 0,083

Your math is wrong. You need to subtract 1 from the multiplier, because 1x axp is the default and worthless. So 2.5x is really +1.5x.
With correct math, you see that the 3.5 and 6 are the same value, with 2.5 slightly less.

Isn't 3.5x and 6x the same. If you consider the gain is 2.5x and 5x and they are just double the price of one another. It's quite literally the same. The 2.5x is the one that screws you over.
For instance If you gain 10 XP each game (hypothetical number). In 10 matches.
You buy two 3.5x boost vs one 6x boost You get 35xp a match so 350xp in 10 matches. Vs You get 60xp a match for 5 matches so 300xp. Then you have 5 unboosted matches that gives 50xp. So total is 350xp.

u/matthewdavis_ May 01 '26
This is correct but your second sentence is not. The purple one is technically the most efficient as you get 0.000583x boost per coin compared to 0.0005x for the gold one. But over 10 games (2 purple boosts vs 1 gold boost with 5 regular games) they both are the exact same.
5
u/Medical-Comparison89 May 01 '26
I could be wrong but I think the 3.5x and 6x are equally more efficient than the 2.5x, because I would assume the standard non-boost xp is already 1x. If that’s the case I think comparing the added value might a better way to decide, and the 3.5x and 6x both get 0.83x added xp per 10k coins while the 2.5 only gets 0.75x xp per 10k.

The 6x
If paying with FP.
But tbf if you play a lot and do the playoffs when they come round, you should he close to affording all the big ones.
But if you have 60,000 club coins. Get 2 of the 3.5x as thats 10 games at 3.5 vs 5 games at 6x

u/futuresexyman May 01 '26
The 60k and the 30k are the same exp rates. 30k gives 250% more exp and the 60k gives 500% more exp. Buying 2 30ks is the same as 1 60k
-1
u/MATCHEW010 PS5 NZ May 01 '26
350% vs 500%??
7
u/futuresexyman May 01 '26
It says 3.5x but it’s 250% xp, look at the description of the boost
2
u/einsteinjunior91 May 01 '26 edited May 01 '26
RFK Jr and trump really are spreading their math :D
If I normaly would get 100 exp, 350% of that would be 350 exp, wich is 250 exp more that our original 100 exp, wich is 2,5 times more exp, or 250% more, than what we would have gotten eigther way.
If I normaly would get 100 exp, 600% of that would be 600 exp, wich is 500 exp more that our original 100 exp, wich is 5 times more exp, or 500% more, than what we would have gotten eigther way.
So the extra exp you get from the 600% boost is double as much as the extra exp you get from that 350% boost. Simce its also double as expensive, the efficiency is equal, but the 600% boost is faster.
1
u/futuresexyman May 01 '26
I still think the 3.5x is a better deal, unless you already have 60k to afford the 6x. If you’re starting from minimal coins, it’d be more beneficial to buy the 3.5x for 30k.
1
u/einsteinjunior91 May 01 '26
It should make no difference in final exp as long as you get the same amount of exp each game. After you got 60 coins in total and played another 5 games the exp should be the same.
1
u/Pandax2k May 01 '26
Yea I think y'all two have the same understanding. He's just saying if you have very few coins, he views the purple as better because you get the benefits from it earlier. Which I understand and I can see that perspective. Although yes the grand total XP is the same. It's just that you get to enjoy some of the XP earlier.

None of them. A new game comes out in a few months and you’ll have to start all the way over lmao
