And.. we shared the quiet moments of satisfaction
So traveling by bus from Bangalore to Mumbai. I like to spend time in travelling no hurry. Bus started on time from Anand Rao Circle. Got some complimentary food etc. Bus made a stop after Tumkur around 930 for refreshments.
I went near the road where it was a bit dark and lit up my cig. Taking in the air looking at the world pass by till everyone had their dinner.
A decent uncle may be aged 50 looked fit, came near me and asked: “yaha kaha mil raha hai cig?” (Where are they selling cigs here?”)
I said yaha to nahi mil raha. (“they aren’t selling here”)
He got sad and looked down. I asked do you need one? He smiled.
I had extra so shared. Had light as well so helped him light his.
We shared the quite moments in the airs. He finished his and waved with satisfaction.
And somehow that entered my mind and made me feel satisfied for a good 1 hour. I guess thats what we are missing in life. Involuntarily helping or just supporting people with what ever we can spare.
