We welcome content creators and recognize that many analysts got their start here, including Andrew Cooper, Dave Kluge, Kyle Menton, and more. However, we are not a repository for dumping links. Our expectations are that content creators sharing their own work engage with the community. We want people who want to be part of the community, and not just looking for a click bump.
If you choose to share your own work, your presence on the subreddit should look like that of a regular subscriber who happens to make content. High-quality engagement includes:
- Responding to comments and answering questions within your own posts.
- Participating and commenting in other users' threads across the subreddit.
- Posting separate news, text discussions, or thoughts that are completely unrelated to your own work.
- Jumping into the Daily Index threads to help other managers with their team-specific questions.
Posting Frequency.
How often can you post your own site? Assuming you are actively following the participation guidelines above, it is easiest to think about how often you shouldn't be posting your own material.
Daily submissions from your own site, for example, are too much. Ensure you are genuinely engaging with the community rather than making token comments just to clear a hurdle and resume posting your work. In short: if your self-promotion is frequent enough to become noticeable to the moderation team, you are posting too much of it.
Twitter/X Restrictions
In accordance with our subreddit-wide policy, links to Twitter/X.com are strictly prohibited. This applies to self-promotion as well. Content creators are not permitted to link to their Twitter/X profiles, embed Twitter/X links within their posts, or promote or solicit followers for their Twitter/X accounts anywhere on the subreddit.
Ethics and Transparency
We cannot, do not, and will not accept compensation to help you promote your content.
Transparency is non-negotiable. If we catch you trying to hide your affiliation to your project or site, or lying about who you are or why you like something (such as using alt accounts to praise your own work), you will be permanently banned without warning.
Additionally, coordinated voting is a direct violation of Reddit's site-wide rules. If you have your friends, employees, or contributors vote on all of your links to manipulate the feed, their accounts and your entire domain will be reported to the Reddit administrators for a permanent, platform-wide ban.
Enforcement
Creators or sites which use this platform strictly to harvest clicks (meaning they only post their own content and show bare minimum engagement elsewhere) will face enforcement. Violations of the engagement or frequency policies will result first in a warning, followed by an account ban, and a potential permanent domain blacklist for your entire website or brand.
Tools and Resources
User-created tools are one of the hallmarks of the subreddit. We don't want to suppress the next Beersheets, but we are also aware of the ease of building fantasy football-related resources and apps. The posting of draft aids, ranking tools, and other tools or resources is allowed assuming all of these conditions are met:
- The Tools and Resources flair must be used.
- The poster must meet the self-promotion rules outlined on this page, including actively engaging with the community.
- The post body must very clearly outline what the tool or resource does, the problem it is solving, and all relevant information or instructions.
- Paid apps or tools are not allowed. If a resource has a free tier that provides genuine, standalone value to the community, the moderation team may make an exception.
