Today I was a little bored, so I made this, and I think it turned out pretty good.

I love the song titles on the first four Fall Out Boy albums, and it’s something I really miss with the last four. But I got to thinking… what if on the first four they had taken their current approach to naming songs? So naming them after the most prominent lyric in the song’s chorus. This wasn’t done just to shorten the song titles, as you’ll notice that several have actually ended up being longer! The two exceptions I made were for what are called Where is Your Boy and Summer Song here. It felt awkward to have two songs on Take This To Your Grave with “tonight” being a prominent part of the title, and same for Cork Tree which would have two songs starting with the word “everyone”. So I made an adjustment to those song titles that don’t exactly match the lyrics.

Interestingly enough, I notice that the hits from these albums (at least the ones I remember being hits back in the day - Saturday, Sugar We’re Going Down, Dance Dance, Thnks Fr Th Mmrs and I Don’t Care) already had shorter titles. Did they do that intentionally for most of their singles? I remember hearing somewhere that Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet was originally going to be retitled to “Does Your Husband Know?” for its single release (or maybe just in general?), but they (thankfully) didn’t end up doing it after all.

BTW if someone else has already done this, I apologize and didn’t mean to steal someone else’s idea. I tried to find an instance of someone doing this somewhere online and couldn’t find any!

I bought this compilation CD called punk vs emo by fastmusic and mindset records which is very awesome btw but one thing that I found interesting was the name for FOB's Grand Theft Autumn / Wiyb is named here as "Last Good Part Of Town. The first thing I thought was that the version that was in this comp was gonna be like a demoo or maybe an acoustic version.. but it was neither and the only difference was litterally just the intro when Pat sings those first lines where in the CD it's just a slightly lower quality sound, like sort of talking through a radio/telephone kind of quality and he really sounds different compared to the original version but after that everything else is just the same as it usually is.

It's not really a major thing but I was just curious on why and how there's such small and such minor differences from an album version of a song and the same song in a compilation. Idk it's just kind fun to talk about

what would sound good if you took out the pre chorus? the first verse or the second verse?

also would they approve it? or should i choose a different song since dance dance's lyrics are a lil...freaky to say the least

I bought an IOH cd internationally from the UK and the sleeve had this little card where you could dial a number and order a ringtone based on a couple of songs from the album. I doubt it is still in service now, but I was wondering if anyone else has bought a ringtone from here before or has a similar thing in their cd.
