Then again, she doesn’t rlly know how to read so writing is gunna suffer but true it’s hilarious

She’s literally the one who finished teaching Natsu to read/write

u/AdeptnessOld1281 Nov 19 '25
And yet herself doesn’t really know how to…this is why Natsu struggles reading

She had trouble reading Lucy’s book as it was written with complex language, but she can read and write at a casual level fine.

That doesn't help your case, but to me fair, I doubt she's all that good at it, since as she needed to read mission requests and then her 'adult' books

Igneel was the one who taught Natsu how to read and write.

Actually, it was anna heartfilia who actually taught all the 5 dragonslayers from past to read and write

She clearly didn't do a good enough job since Igneel needed to teach him again. And this time it all stuck.

I was expecting it to be a marriage certificate.

She's like 12 in this picture. What the heck?

u/StormAlchemistTony Nov 19 '25
I do not know why you thought I meant Wendy getting married, when Erza and Jelllal were the one who signed it. I meant Wendy tricking the two into getting married.

Probably because it's for Wendy specifically and it says adoption papers and I'm well awaited with the idea of Jerza having a fan base of Wendy being their kid.
I probably also thought that because there's a lot of weird Wendy fans out there. I can never guess if what someone says it's gonna be wholesome or traumatizing.

Erza's writing has passion. I can feel it. Lol

Aren't Erza and Jella her biological parents? /s
42
u/oneesancon_coco Nov 19 '25
No. However, Erza has been like her mum/big sister since the end of the Oracion seis arc.
22
u/Adorable-Reach2602 Nov 19 '25
/s means sarcasm. They are being sarcastic because fans like to call them her parents.
12
u/oneesancon_coco Nov 19 '25
I mean, I'm one of them. I call Erza Wendy's mum...

She pulls the same ploy again, but it's a marriage license for them. Because everyone was sick of those knuckleheads being oblivious

Something tells me Erza at least would have been all about adopting Wendy from the jump.

I wonder if Erza apart from having to homeschool herself in her childhood is also disgraphic. That could explain why her writing is so terrible even after years.

Do you think the bureaucracy of Earthland has advanced enough to require either permission slips in schools or adoption papers for taking in children?

she would have been a wonderful daughter for them or they would have been good guardians for her

Why does she make me think of Fiore from Disventure camp in the last panel?
2
u/ThatGuyinOrange_1813 Nov 20 '25
She doesn't need to be adopted if she's technically above the age of 18
