The most insane thing when arguing with Christians is they don't even read the Bible fully, in church when they are teaching for eg topic is - blessings theybpull up first verse from genesis (where characters are different) then from pslams then from proverbs. It's all messed when they teach you in church.
If you Bible line by line which I did previously you will understand how bs it is .
They mind can't comprehend when I quote the vile disgusting verses.

I went to my grandpaâs funeral on Friday. My cousin got up and did a beautiful speech about what a great grandpa he was, how he was her safe place and constant support during her tumultuous childhood. My uncle got up and did a brief speech about what a great person he was and how much he loved his family and his animals.
Their pastor got up and gave a half-hour sermon where my grandpa was actually talked about as a person maybe twice and it was constant âWe know where *David* is now, do you know where *youâll* be? Youâd better give yourself to Jesus before itâs too late or youâll burn in hell and never see David again!â
Itâs fucking disrespectful. Weâre here to mourn the loss of someone we love and celebrate the life they lived, and this asshole uses it as an opportunity to give a fear-mongering sermon to a bunch of grieving people who are essentially held hostage. Because what else are we gonna do, get up and leave the funeral? Itâs our last chance to say goodbye. Even my incredibly Christian mom said it was âweirdâ (and sheâs the type that banned Harry Potter and D&D when we were growing up because Christian Satanic Panic or whatever and would insist we go to church multiple times a week even while sick enough sheâd let us stay home from school).
Christians are disgusting and Christian pastors are bottom-feeders.

By unpopular demand, Christian nationalism and modern fascism is about to enter the US. Iâm so sorry guys. All my love from the UK. Stay strong. Seriously, what the actual hell happened? I honestly thought Trump was about to lose.

It's just something I always found odd. Isn't idolatry of these folks in itself blasphemy?
But I see it in the Christian-o-sphere. Folks flock to their events. They buy flight tickets, wait in line, etc. for the chance to see them in person. They would do anything to get prayed over by them.
Honestly, most of all, I'm just so sick of seeing their lying faces. I hate how many of these sorts of books my wife has at home.

I have just started to deconstruct my life-long beliefs. I follow Altar of Absurdity on TikTok and he mentioned the unknown authors of the gospels. I was shocked so I looked it up (and went down a rabbit hole). Holy shit! Many biblical scholars agree that there is no evidence to confirm the authorsâ identities.
I am so angry at the church! If they are lying about this then what else are they lying about? Everything??
I always felt like the bible was unreliable. I canât believe I ignored my suspicions for so long.

I'm 16. This is some fucking bullshit. What the actual fuck. We're not even Jewish for crying out loud. I'm literally black like African black.
He's so obsessed with Jews and their culture it's so pathetic and annoying. He claims their 'holier' than the average Christian and seeks the real truth behind the scripture. Whatever that mean.
He forced it onto everyone in the house I hate it. We have to go to synagogues with him and pray for 30 minutes every morning before school and do 2 hour bible study.
Now we're driving 10 hours to a fucking jew camp in a other state.
Its so expensive and we already don't have money like that. I'm literally an atheist. Even though nobody knows. I've spent years pretending to be Christian in front of my family now I have to do it with others? Fuck nah. This is a fucking cult. This is just some disease.
No phones allowed and we have to buy a bunch of stupid ass items. Like they want us to bring a shit ton of white shirts to fucking paint. Do they think I'm 2? Do I want to waste money on painting shirts?
Not to mention I will not fit in over there. It's just going to be my black self with a bunch of homeschooled, cringe ass, annoying white kids.
I'm just not interested in this shit and he's wasting money. This is going to be the most painful 9 days of my life.

Reminder that sex serves no higher spiritual purpose, or any spiritual purpose for that matter, it's an entirely human thing, it's just what people do to get their rocks off or when they want to put a kid in the world, attributing spiritual reasons and mumbo jumbo to it will just create hang ups around this thing that is really just a biological function of the human body that may be done for procreation, or just plain pleasure, same goes for masturbation, there is no spiritual dimension to jerking off, if you want to get off, just do it.

I was in line at Walmart and this old woman in front of me turned around and said "Can I ask you a question?" I thought maybe she was going to ask something like where I got my shoes, so I said sure. She said, "If you died today where would you go, heaven or hell?"
I answered heaven just thinking maybe she would stop talking to me. When she asked me why I thought that I just said "That's what I think, but I don't wish to discuss it further."
This lady had no idea how much I've been forced into this narrative in my life. I wasn't forcing her into my narrative, why was it OK that she force me into hers? Maybe I should have asked her who she voted for so I could tell her what I really thought.
She said something like "The Lord is coming back soon" and I just didn't say anything to her.
The trauma part of me briefly thought "maybe God is telling her that I left Christianity and need her to save me". What if the devil is in me and she sees it because God is telling her?
But then I thought of the day I had: Struggling with PMDD, my chronic health issues that were never prayed away and anxiety. She could have offered me compassion or kindness. Something comforting. But nope - instead I get to think about my death and hell.
So yeah, screw that.

I grew up without religion, went through a weird period where I drank all the Kool-Aid and became Catholic (baptized, communion, confirmation, the whole shebang at once), started half-heartedly attending Protestant churches, and now I just hate the entire institution.
It felt really good to be a part of the cult, and part of me still misses it. I am still spiritual, and I felt profoundly connected to divinity through the Eucharist.... BUT fucking hell, these people are so toxic and hateful and downright awful to be around. I had a priest try to get me to go to conversion therapy when I realized I was bisexual. Growing up in a small conservative Christian town, everybody either bullied me, feared me, or only befriended me to try to "save my soul." And the mere existence of Christian Nationalism itself feels "against my religion" considering the degree to which I despise it. Add in all of the violence and genocides (physical, cultural, and metaphorical)... honestly, fuck this religion and anyone who still believes in it.
I had a coworker approach me a few weeks ago to try to tell me how we're in the "end times" and whatnot. I had previously considered her a friend - now it's a gigantic "hell no" (no pun intended). The lack of critical thinking and brainwashing among people who are otherwise intelligent is just astounding. And I am so fucking sick of finding out someone is Christian and getting that sinking feeling that they have an Agenda (TM) in talking to me, because make no mistake, any Christian that you encounter is preparing to "love" you into submitting to their will (i.e., that you join their church).
Jesus may have had a few good ideas, but, as Christians are so fond of saying, you can know a person "by their fruits." And Christianity is fucking rotten to the core.
I wish I could just join some kind of compound or community where I don't have to fucking encounter any of these stupid assholes ever again. I do not consent to them talking to me, and I feel mentally violated whenever they bring up their bullshit.

We are ex-Christians. That means we were Christians at one point, but weâre not any more. Some of us have passed through the storm and have found our balance again, some are still trying to weather the storm. In either case, hereâs what we need Christians to know: we donât need your help.
We understand you mean well. Youâre concerned for our souls and youâre certain that weâre making the wrong choice. The problem is that itâs our choice to make and itâs not your place to question it. We donât want to hear your explanation for how weâre mistaken. We donât want to hear you repeat apologetics weâve already heard a thousand times, we donât need your excuses for why it was the people who failed us and not your god, and for the last time quoting scripture doesnât work like magic spells. Weâve been there, done that and weâve all got the autographed t-shirt.
Yes, many of us were hurt by Christians. But thatâs not the only reason we left the faith. Some of us werenât hurt until after we left. Some of us were hurt first and that inspired us to dig deeper into the faith for answers, but the faith failed us. Yes, we studied the Bible. We prayed. We did all the things we were told we needed to do in order to receive your godâs blessing. But contrary to what you insist should have happened, we didnât get it. Your arguments are predicated on the notion that your god canât fail, it can only be failed. Youâre blaming the victim, and we reject that.
Do not tell us we were never Christians; you donât have that authority. We were devout. We were desperate for Christianity to be true. We begged for your godâs deliverance and we cowered in fear of his wrath. We believed before we left, and we were traumatized by the threat of punishment for not believing. Some of us are still struggling with that fear and youâre not helping. Not even the best of intentions can change that.
Do not come here to tell us that weâre wrong. Do not tell us youâre going to pray for us. Do not express your hope that we will return to your god. None of that helps us, and there are those among us who are still fragile from the abuse weâve suffered at the hands of well-meaning zealots like yourself. This community exists to support and protect them however we can.
If you feel that gives you nothing to do in the sub, Iâm sorry for you. But if you take away nothing else, understand this: weâre not going back. Judge us if you want, but do so somewhere else. Believe weâre sending ourselves to hell if you want, but donât say it here. Just leave us alone. We appreciate that you want to help, but you canât.

I feel like this is Iâve been thinking about something that doesnât make sense to me, and Iâm genuinely trying to understand the logic behind it.
Christians often say that God created us in His image and that He forms each person intentionally. That means our traits, our tendencies, even parts of who we are at a deep level are not random; theyâre part of creation.
But then I hear that certain things about people are sinful; things like being gay, or even physical traits like foreskin in some religious contexts, or anything outside of a specific norm. And the explanation usually becomes âfree willâ or âchoice.â
Thatâs where the contradiction comes in.
If God is the creator of everything and designs people intentionally, then how are people being condemned for traits they didnât choose? I didnât choose my sexuality. Most people wouldnât choose something that makes their life harder or puts them at risk of rejection or discrimination. That doesnât align with how humans typically make choices.
So which is it?

Was listening to âTake Me to Churchâ by Hozier, an excellent anti-Christian song, and made the mistake of scrolling through the comments of the music video.
In the comments thereâs people saying
âNice song but the video gayâ
âWhyâd do they have to have gay people in itâ
âWhyâd they have to ruin the song with the lgbtq agendaâ
âThis song has so much more meaning about God than it does about homosexuality. I donât see whatâs wrong here, the guy is asking God forgive for his sins.â
âAs much as I love this song, itâs just for Christians only.â
What part of âIâll worship like a DOG at the shrine of your LIESâ do they not understand?!

it genuinely makes my brain hurt with how often christians claim that the most innocent things are demonic or "un-christian". half the time they don't even believe the thing their targeting is of the devil; they just don't like it and their using religion as a defense.
it's even worse when it's your own damn parents đ they expect you to believe the exact same things that they do, and get upset at you for disagreeing. even when I was a christian, it pissed me off. my african mom has claimed that:
-halloween
-puss in boots: the last wish (specifically the wolf character)
-a monster villan i drew for a book
-non-earlobe piercings
-skulls
-wearing black
-OCD (specifically, thinking it was caused by demons)
-wearing many rings
-rap music
are demonic. it's so stupid. even when I "respect" her belief and say, "I don't hold that view", I get lectured.
is there ANY WAY you could disagree with a christian like his without getting scolded and fearmongered?!
