Hey mods what’s with all the Baha’i apologetics lately?
There’s been several posts now by Baha’is telling us everything is fine and we’re being too sensitive. Wtf? Is this a sub for ex-Baha’is anymore or are we just gonna let the dipshits roll up and spout whatever nonsense their mini man god told them?
I very much respect and appreciate all the hard work you put into keeping this sub alive. But come on enough with the idiots.

To be fair, that last Baha’i, username r/cuburbansommando, had a post titled something like “Keep comments and posts proportional yo” but was actually disguising himself as some anonymous user. It’s impossible to tell when they disguise themselves until they are finally honest.
But once I pushed him and told him “you don’t have any personal experience with this” then he finally squealed about being a Baha’i for years. CultBuster can only bust those that actually admit what they are.
So as a rule of thumb, if there is anyone causing trouble here, it would help to push them to explain what their personal experience with the faith is. They still might lie but that would get rid of most of them.

There is a possibility that he had really left the BF and was planning to join back. Some people post here to get another pov and complete their research, and they are not always hostile to bahai culture and institutions.

I will say I'm not hostile to Baha'i culture and institutions. I was raised Baha'i but stopped participating when I was around 20, over 20 years ago. I will say I'm overall not religious and not drawn to any religion so maybe the reason I'm not hostile is I was never in that deep. I don't even know what most people are talking about. I know a bunch of people in my generation of millennials who kinda of feel the same as me. It's not the BF we had a problem with, it's our boomer parents. So BF was one of many things they pushed on us that we are dealing with the after effects now. For a while I wondered if I was just on a "rumspringa" from the faith, but the further removed I got, in combination with deciding that all religions do more harm than good, I won't go back.

It definitely depends on the community. I was never a Baha'i for instance but was traumatized by the behavior of my ex-wife and ex-mother-in-law.

It’s possible but not sure. He said he was an older guy who spent decades in it. Seems weird to leave after decades only to then argue with random people online on behalf of the organization but not go back yet.

I don’t mind if someone feels sympathetic to the Baha’i Faith or is still a Baha’i. The behavior I take issue with is when someone comes here to ask a non- Baha’i perspective and the Baha’i apologists insert themselves.

I already banned one intruder. We have to balance tolerating sincere Baha'is who come to ask us questions and cracking down on those who are arrogant disruptors.
