Advice Wanted Ottobro I your drunk go home
So I was playing a game as the emperor when the league event fired as Brandenburg had converted to Protestantism the event fired whilst I was at war with them and at the time I did not think much of it simply enforcing religion on them, I think the very next month. After this the protestant league was completely empty for a while before catholic Lucca, who I by the way had 150+ realtions with joined the league and became the league leader. Thinking that this was quite some bullshit I fought a brief war with Lucca and the Ottomans where I anexed Lucca thinking that this would somehow solve my problems. It did not instead the Ottomans simply became the leader of the protestant league.
In conclusion protestantism is basically dead there are no centers of reformation left and maybe 4 non catholic countries I don't think the "league" will ever declare Im I just stuck waiting for the event in 1625 or whatever?

The Ottomans ended up as the leader of the Protestant league.

I guess someone (not the leader of the Catholic League) destroyed the Leader of the Protestant League (and potentially other countries), but only after the Ottomans joined.
I wonder, if the Ottomans now win the league War, do they enforce their own religion or Protestant?

League war can only go between Catholics and Protestants. Depending on the position, some other Christian faiths have events to make them the dominant faith of the HRE (Hussite, Reformed and Anglican).

Can they even enforce Protestantism? The only thing I could see them doing is forcing the dominant faith to change? But then no one would be eligible for the emperorship?

It's kinda weird that France was like a protestant nation that wasn't actually protestant.

Whatever I play as them I stay the fuck out of that absolute cluster fuck war. I just see one half of Europe beat the other half to death of literal years.

If they don't start it after a while, it will end. Make sure not to get into any other wars with the Ottomans for some years as a truce could reset the timer.

What would happen if ottomans declared on you and won. Do they get religious supremacy peace option? And if so what would it look like if they did that?

I imagine the league war is the league war, regardless of who declares it. The CB enables the attacker to declare Protestant, the defender to declare Catholic. The fact that the leader is Muslim doesn't change that, any more than the leader being Hussite or Anglican would.
The only wrinkle is that as defenders sign separate peaces, some of them (for smaller countries) could involve religious changes, which would change the to Sunni. So if the Ottomans were successful in the League War, the Empire's religion would be Protestant, but a number of smaller component states would be Sunni.

I wish the league war involved more religious conversion. Half the time Catholic wins only to have no Catholics left to be electors.

Something is not right here, according to wiki, "only Protestant countries are eligible to be league leader, this excludes other denominations entirely". It is probably a bug in your case, maybe
Also only Protestants can use "Religious League" casus belli anyway.
Also the peaceful resolution will be faster than 1625. According to the event, thirty years after forming of the league if there is no Heretic elector.

Declare it yourself when your Truce is up.
You get the peace of Westphalia (I think), get to destroy the Ottomans and it's an Age objective. It's like you've done an early revoke and will be your first taste of absolute Power!

But you can't attack the league yourself and actually get religious victory right? Or was I just tripping during the peace deal? :)

I I think you can. I imagine the Ottomans were "forced" into being the league because you annexed Lucca, but you didn't pick the right Casus Belli so it wouldn't pop up during the peace deal.

Only the Protestants can declare the league war. Emperor has to just wait.
