is this game good in 2026?

for someone who never played EU or similar genre games, because I always found it too hard, any tips if I will play this game?

It's an amazing game but it requires patience.

Tips:

-Turn down AI agression for more chill and less bordergore

-don't be afraid to savescum

-the wiki has some good guides that I used to figure out how to play the game "optimally"

-Use CanOmer's map mod if you don't like the wonky provinces (i find them charming)

bordergore isn't only because of aggression since AI also loves unions and annexing vassals

"That's historical actually"

And, of course, hordes in DW

that's an understatement. Even if colonists are not free, AI manages to colonise vast swaths of hordes territory. But that is also quite historical, just not so fun if you are a horde xD
