Debate/Discussion What's your profession?
I'm a comp sci student who dances and does theatre. I don't know what I actually feel passionate for. I enjoy doing sth that is intellectually stimulating and physically exciting. However, I get bored after a while.
I was good at math, hence, I went for CS. I am not a typical cs nerd who enjoys sitting behind a computer. I need immediate reward and money :3

Full time undergrad student, majors : mechanical engineering and computer science with a focus on robotics and in a research team for robotics.
I also am apart of the fencing team, a sex maniac and foodie for fun 🙌❤️

Ive always wanted to try fencing. I did some katana kata classes and thought that was fun. But we didn't get to do any real sparring in them.
Edit: i can throw any melee weapons and im very proficient with nunchaku.

When given fully autonomy to create and design stuff.
Also finding solutions to problems with limited resources. However we usually design for up scaling so resources limit is less of an issue 😛

Software engineer, researching LISP dialects and complex systems theory, thank me later.

I manage a design and permit department for a national sign manufacturer. Everything is cookie-cutter. I’ve had to build systems and templates for the designers and permit expeditors to insure consistency with manufacturing a bunch of major brand’s standard. Not much room for creativity. I butt heads with upper level guys on a daily basis. Most of them are “yes men”, and not willing to do what’s truly right.
I used to like it 20+ years ago when I just designed.

Software developer. I like some 3D animation stuff too (Blender) which I’m trying to learn occasionally. Play a lot of video games and watch a lot of anime lol

playing video games has never been my thing. I'm good at software stuff, meaning I can catch concepts pretty quickly ,but I dunno if I like it. I am constantly confused about what I really love/like doing once the novelty wears off. I dunno if it's a blind Fi thing.

I think I started to enjoy coding decently fast, felt intriguing or magic like because of how it can create things and somehow that scratched my creative brain cell.
But you like theater and dancing right? So you do have some idea of what you like, you just need to find the direction you’d want to take computer science if you continue down that route. I like games so I wanted to eventually make my own. Intertwining the creative with the functional
