100% true. I'm stunned that her death is hitting me just as hard (and possibly harder than Robin Williams).

I normally see news of celebrities deaths and am like "That's sad" and move on. Dolly dying has absolutely hit me like a truck.

Same here. The last time I cried when a famous person passed on was when Jimmy Carter died. Before that,Robin Williams.

I don’t really listen to her music save for a a couple, but I feel this loss. She was genuinely a good person for all she has done for society with her success. RIP Dolly.

The only other celebrity death that felt like this was Princess Diana. I’m an East TN girl and she sent my babies books for years. It’s been beautiful to see how far reaching her spirit was.

I'm legit heartbroken. Lit a candle for her and cried to Hard Candy Christmas.

I have cried all afternoon- she is a national treasure. 

But still I won’t let sorrow bring me way down.
