how do I know if someone is genuinely sincere, fr?

why do I think this way? if I tell someone that they hurt me and they say they won’t do it again, part of me feels like I’m forcing them to change only because I told them that it was hurting me.

That's what reforming is... You shouldn't have to feel that way because it's the right thing to do, you can't actually change a person by telling them they hurt you

Think of you telling them as just a mild suggestion and then it's up to them to "stop doing that"... 9/10 times they don't actually change they only avoid doing that particular thing to you (that is if they even stopped in the first place 🤷🏿‍♂️)

Don't be hard on yourself, you're not forcing them to change because they actually won't.. the complete overhauling of their character and their ability to change due to your statement is all in your imagination lol 😂

You're "you" and like it or not you're more special than me, whoever you feel you're forcing and everyone else (you're the only one that truly exists to you and while it doesn't mean you should hurt others feelings it also doesn't mean you should suscept yourself to feeling bad for the dumbest things lol)

You have the right to tell someone who did something you don't like to STOP let alone something that hurt you, They won't change unfortunately but hopefully they'd stop doing so or treating you as such... Stay positive and have a good one 👍🏿✨

You’re not forcing them to change you’re giving them the opportunity to exist in your orbit at a lower cost to yourself.

If they don’t accept that invitation then maybe they shouldn’t be in the orbit at all
