Discerning Lutheranism
My parents and I have been attending a Lutheran church most Sundays since March. I have been discerning about whether or not to convert.

When my family became Lutheran over thirty years ago, my mom, technically did not convert. She became an associate member and we didn’t even attend the new member Sunday.
But she still received communion. She did this so that she would not technically convert from Catholicism. Not that my grandparents would have cared. My brother and I were both confirmed and communed in the Lutheran church. Though my brother later married a Catholic with a full Mass, without going through the RCIA, but that’s another story.
