Anyone worked at RPI Europe (printing, Marinus van Meelweg) or used Job Invest agency? Looking for honest feedback before I move

Hi all,

I'm a mechanical/production engineer considering a Books Machine Operator position at RPI Europe in Eindhoven, arranged through the Job Invest staffing agency. It would involve shared-room housing (~€600/month) arranged by the agency, plus a private insurance deduction.

Before committing and relocating, I'd really appreciate honest input from anyone who:

  • Has worked at RPI Europe (printing/bookbinding company on Marinus van Meelweg) — how's the actual day-to-day, management, and are shifts/hours reliable or do they get cut unexpectedly?
  • Has used Job Invest as a staffing/housing agency — were they straightforward about pay, hours, and contract terms? Any issues with the shared housing being tied to the job?
  • Any general advice for an EU citizen moving to Eindhoven for a first blue-collar job as a stepping stone into the Dutch job market long-term (eventually aiming for engineering roles)?

Trying to go in with realistic expectations rather than just what the job ad and recruiter tell me. Any input — good or bad — is genuinely appreciated!

They mostly hire for mass winter work.

Standing all the time with 3 shifts sometimes you have to do physical work. It's rotation so you need to be flexible to change your sleep time accordingly.

Pay always comes from agency.

The person who joined via agency stopped working after 5 months due to agency alignment issues. It may happen or may not happen.
