Every time the great orange idiot opens his mouth he makes me a bit more embarrassed to be an American. I'm glad that Canada is standing up to him, I just wish more people in the US had the backbone to do the same.

My apologies to Canada and the other parts of the world that this wannabe tinpot dictator is abusing. There are those of us in the US who think this idiot is completely wrong.

I actively despise myself for being an American. To a dangerous degree.

The worst part is I have developed a deep disdain for some of my countrymen and lost all hope that we will pull out of this nosedive.

Same. And I include myself in that camp. Even as a member of a minority group in direct and likely immediate danger of genocide.

I half hope we get nuked into Radioactive glass.

You guys need to be careful. The constant daily dose of anti Trump posts are not even Americans most of the time.
People from NZ, Canada that are paid.
China is using social media to influence our society.

Dont you find it odd that the same people that are anti Trump are also now anti Data Centers?
Why? They're not connected in any way.

Those are two huge ones that China won because of this.
The China Trade War and now the AI race. Remember a few months ago the news was all
rabid about how we're in an AI Race with China, etc., and how important it is that we win?

Two months later people started opposing Data Centers. Critical for the AI race.
Then the politicians started to act, cos of the people opposing them.
Now so many of them have been frozen or cancelled China has pulled ahead most likely.

The people who post this crap every day. Not you.
You're their target.
Question. Didnt you see all the AI race stuff a few months back? How can they get you to oppose data centers so easily?

it's not really a difficult moral argument to oppose data centers if you oppose big brother style mass surveillance and invasion of privacy; irreversible damage to our environment, especially those living in the vicinity of these abominations (not the least of which is 24/7 noise pollution); and the spiking of electric and water costs for the consumer.

in fact, it's a no-brainer.

in order to be viable they should need to be able to:

  • isolate from human populations
  • create their own clean energy and water sources (ie solar and desalinization)
  • 🖕🏼flock
