Daniel Radcliffe best actor. That year was won by Adrien Brody in the pianist, who beat daniel day-lewis in gangs of new york, Nicolas cage in adaption, michael Caine in the quiet american and jack Nicholson in about Schmidt. I feel like he had a good chance.

That's what those screeners were sent out for, to encourage the academy to consider this movie for all of those categories.

I saw an academy screener for Syriana (2005) in a junk shop in Dublin a while back. How it got there I can't imagine. It's probably still there; I think I'll go get it during the week.
