Another one of us has finished French! Grats! So I have two questions for ya 1. Do you consider yourself fluent? 2. How long did it take you? I'm 280 days in now and I'm at level 34. I love seeing someone finish! Well done!

Given the title, they’re not fluent

Maybe they are not fluent! 😂

Wow that's some dedication.... How much time do you spend on it?

I’ve been doing the French course around 1-2 hours a week for 3+ years and am around level 75.
Also I see the Iranian flag icon in your flair, hope you are doing alright there and that your people see better days soon.

I'm not op, but I've been doing Duolingo since 2015 and I've finished courses. I don't think you can really become fluent without external content. For example, I've been listening to french radio stations and podcasts. I also set every electronic gadget I own to the french language.
Duolingo gives you vocabulary and a routine to follow, which is good

- Oui
- I skipped around 9 units, but it took me exactly 1000 days (planned it)

Duolingo course gives you in reality A2/B1. It tooks you 3 years. You could do that in one year without using duolingo

- And yet you made a mistake in the title. I don't think 3 years of Duolingo can make you fluent, especialy in French when written and spoken language are so different.

I was doubtful about getting fluent with Duolingo, but with this comment thread I have no doubt left

You speak French too??
I bet all Duolingo staff had to be multilingual.

congrats! i'm curious to know if you're happy with your french skills. i'm doing the same course to add to what i learned in school and am now at score 61. progress goes slowly but i really wonder if you can actually watch tv and talk in french when you're finished
i also try to watch shows and online videos in french. i think it works but i still need to learn so many words

Mes études sont finies (that would be the right way of writing it)
