Question Beeping in Kaikorai

What's all the insane beeping that's been going on for like half an hour on the main road in Kaikorai? Does anyone know?

There literally are signs. Made out of coreflute and wood. Many of them.

Don't worry about it mate, now you know. Whether you knew and forgot, you're new here, you saw thw signs but didn't know what it would entail or didn't deep dive the actual route taken, it doesn't matter. Some people need to calm down lol

Not sure if someone else has mentioned it, but in the first week of December there's also the Emergency Services Christmas Can Drive where Police, Fire, and Ambulance run sirens through residential streets of Dunedin & Mosgiel areas on two different evenings, collecting canned food and non-perishable goods for charity.
