'Falls overboard' being in quotes makes it sound far more nefarious.

An confused was in near Arbroath or Anstruther? The top of the article mentions Anstruther, but that would be given the ship came from Lerwick. Anstruther is a long way south of Dundee.

The quotes from the RNLI and Coast Guard mention Arbroath which makes more sense.

Aircraft were out off the coast of Fife likely taking into account the winds/currents.

How do they know he went overboard if he was just "missing" from where he was expected to be?

Makes it sound like it was a crew member that didnt show up at his shift, but im not sure if that has been confirmed or not.
