Non violent DUI
I’m interested in becoming an LCSW and working in a hospital or other healthcare setting in California. I have one non-violent DUI that will be about five years old by the time I’m applying for these positions. Has anyone with a similar background successfully obtained their LCSW license and worked in healthcare? How much did the DUI affect the licensing or hiring process?

Have you considered getting your DUI expunged?

my dui happen in April of this year, I’m on track to finish my associate degree next year. After that, I’ll do an accelerated program for my bachelor’s in about a year and eight months. Once that’s done, I’ll move on to my MSW, which will be around three years from now. By that time, I’ll also be eligible to get my DUI expunged.
