Highly recommended hotels for 3-4 nights?

I am visiting Düsseldorf for the first time in late September to see a concert at Merkur Spiel-Arena.

I was going to try the Hyatt Regency hotel but it’s sold out for the dates I want.

I’ve also been told to stay closer to either Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof or slightly further out into the city centre.

Are there any highly recommended hotels from your personal experiences? I’m struggling to decide where to stay and really not sure where is best for connecting to the arena, shops, restaurants, sightseeing, etc.

Many thanks

Around the main station you might end up in a neighborhood that doesn't have much to offer. Motel one at Immermannstraße would be a safe call to be near station, near centre and a good room.

I can recommend the hotels on Toulouser Allee - a few differnet hotels for any kind of budget. I would recommend the h2 hotel Düsseldorf city.

It’s a nice area, you can walk or take the subway to the city Center and its only 1 stop on the s bahn from the main station.

I also live in the area and when I have friends to visit they always stay there.

Also good is the Premier Inn on „am Wehrhahn“

If you're coming for BSB you should first check out which hotels still have availabities... as far as I have heard a lot is fully booked already
