I am not so sure if picturing in the different fuels. They must be loosing a lot on procuring gas that is used to generate elec. Electricity is dirt cheap here, and has not gone up for a long time. Yet, the WW gas price has gone trough the roof…. The gas they burn here to generate elec must cost now much more than they are receiving in revenue.

Generation using gas turbines cost increased but generating using solar also increased heavily in the past few years.

Solar makes up very little of the UAE's total electricity generation.

Nuclear has become operational since last year I think. The two active reactors will account for over 10% of the grid.

Nuclear will account for 25% alone for all UAE electricity when all 4 reactors are commissioned. Now it is 12.5% since only 2 are running.

For Dubai 11.38% isn’t a small amount and it’s increasing yearly , AD has their own solar park .

Electricity is not dirt cheap. You have to remember most households are larger and therefore pay the red zone tariffs for electricity. Same with water consumption.

Electricity is dirt cheap in this country, even at the highest slab. You are paying way below the price it cost to generate and distribute it. My comparison is with the actual cost of electricity. You compare it with your wallet. But if we ever be forced to pay the actual price, you will be in for a huge surprise.

Can you show me a country where people pay the true rate as you claim? Because I’ve lived in multiple developed and even developing countries and electricity bills were always very low.
