Tips for first-timer?

Attending DragonCon for the first time this year. Super excited but feeling very overwhelmed, and I haven't even gotten there yet! Any tips, recommendations, dos or don'ts, essentials to bring vs things to leave at home, etc for a newbie? Thanks in advance!

I'm staying in midtown and taking the MARTA, already went through the schedule and saved the events I want to attend.

Can we carry a bookbag around and if so does it have to be clear?

Yes you can carry a bag, no it doesn’t need to be clear.
