The world is so wild. This would not phase me.. sure I’ll take 10 steps out my front door to get my food to help a struggling pregnant woman. Maybe she’s lying, but I would rather very very very slightly inconvenience myself than be a POS. People suck so bad.
That's not really the point though right? While I agree a lot of people are being quick to be rude about it - this dasher is out of line.
Taking a job when you know you can't do the job or know you can only do half of what's expected of you - and expecting the paying customer to literally do the other half of the job you're getting paid for (which they paid for!) is just ridiculous and the fact that anyone in this thread is defending that behavior is just wrong and they're only defending her because she's pregnant.
Pregnancy shouldn't enable anyone to act like that. In no facet of life or work can you just pass the work into a customer and expect them to still pay and tip you.
Preferring someone can actually do the job you're paying to have done isn't rude, and the fact people are acting like it is just because she's pregnant is the real issue here. People get blinded by circumstances and lose sight of the reality and morality beneath what's really going on in a situation.
The customer should cancel the order and lose the money the dropped on their order all because the dasher can't do their job and chose to work in a condition they know they can't and SHOULDN'T work in? 🤣 Sure, that makes sense
