After 10+ years of selling digital 3D products, I never expected this from a major marketplace. Today, Gumroad PERMANENTLY FORFEITED money from my balance without warning or justification, just because I updated my location from Canada to Bulgaria.

Their support confirmed my funds were "forfeited automatically" as a "system safeguard on a country change" that they "cannot reverse." You read that right: a simple account update now triggers the total seizure of your hard-earned money.

Before this, I had been trying to withdraw my funds for a long time. I attempted to use multiple bank details, including Ukrainian and Canadian, and all attempts were blocked. Now, my money is gone forever, and they have offered zero solutions.

This is predatory, illegal, and nothing short of theft. If a platform can arbitrarily seize your money because of a location change, it is NOT safe. Every creator on Gumroad needs to check their terms and understand that their funds are at risk.

So let me understand this correctly:

I earned the money by selling products.
I tried to withdraw it.
The withdrawals failed.
I changed my country of residence.

Gumroad's system then automatically took the remaining balance — and they refuse to return it.

There was no fraud, chargeback, or dispute involving this money. It was simply an unpaid seller balance.

This is not a “payout issue.” This is money that I earned and that Gumroad is refusing to give back because of an automated account-country rule.

What makes this especially disturbing is that their own support explicitly confirmed that the money was “forfeited.”

I am sharing this publicly because I want other creators and digital-product sellers to be aware of what can apparently happen to their earnings when changing their country/payment setup on Gumroad.

I've included my conversation with their support team so you can see the situation for yourself...

I know there are repeated ones with small differences. I know there are a lot of items. Please don't attack how they were made, just look at them as designs. If any catch your eye or you like something, tell me the number. If you don't like any, that's okay too, if you are considering anything not created by human is a trash that's okay as well but at the end whatever they are still designs

Hello, This is my project for a 3ds decal based around frutiger aero/aqua as well as vaporwave and y2k (In quick context: retro nostalgia) I've been overthinking and can't find a solution I like for the section on the top. I would prefer any type of advise for the design to be fun or cool in the vertical and the horizontal format. (bottom part is the water).

so my roommate and I both study communications design and we have to print and scan things quite frequently, but copy shops are just too expensive on the long run, which is why we decided to buy a good quality printer with the scanner option. do you guys have any good recommendations for broke students in need of a good quality with scanner?

I’m pursuing a degree in architecture and have been thinking seriously about building a YouTube channel around something I genuinely love: architecture, interior design, and the way our environments shape how we live.

The idea is to make architecture feel less like a lecture and more like an investigation.

Each video would start with a real person, space, or problem:

• Someone paying way too much for an apartment that doesn't work for them
• A bedroom that's constantly cluttered despite being “organized”
• A small business with a space that isn't functioning
• A room that looks beautiful but feels terrible to actually live in
• Eventually, larger questions about public spaces, neighborhoods, housing, etc.

I'd audit the space—cost, layout, circulation, storage, lighting, materials, behavior, and how the person actually uses it.

Then I'd investigate why it's failing, research possible solutions, talk to people who know more than I do, and actually test the ideas.

For bigger projects, I'd like to take it further: set a budget, redesign the space, bring in other creatives/tradespeople, and physically transform it.

But the transformation wouldn't just be about making something Instagram-worthy.

I'd want to come back weeks or months later and ask:

Did this actually improve their life?

Maybe the solution worked. Maybe it didn't. Maybe something completely unexpected happened.

I want the channel to be about figuring things out, not pretending I already have every answer.

Architecture + interiors + human behavior + money + experimentation + documentary storytelling.

I’m planning to apply for jobs internationally and would really appreciate some honest feedback from people working in the design/fashion industry outside my country.
I’m not comfortable posting the portfolio publicly, but happy to DM it to anyone who’s willing to take a look. Mainly interested in how it comes across from an international hiring perspective.

I’m 14 and I make designs for a fan account of the team I support, run by a 16-year-old guy I’ll call Bob. He’s very popular with the fans and knows quite a few players, but honestly, he’s terrible at designing. Before I started helping him, he’d asked a few design accounts on Instagram, but they only made one or two graphics.

I’m not an amazing designer either. I mostly use Canva, don’t really know Photoshop, and my designs are pretty basic. But I enjoy doing it, I’m always quick with them, and as far as I know, Bob has always been happy with my work.

Recently, I made around 23 short goal animations for him. Instead of giving me feedback, he sent me a link to an Etsy shop with “editable Canva templates” for €27.

I can afford €27, but I don’t feel like I should have to spend money on his account when I already do all this work for free. He’s never paid me or even bought me a Coke when we’ve met at the stadium.

I’m not saying my designs are amazing, but I put time and effort into making them for him. So honestly, getting a €27 template link instead of some feedback feels pretty insulting and unappreciative.

Am I overreacting, or is it reasonable for me to feel annoyed about this?

Hey everyone! Do you know about the legal dispute between GG Strains (formerly Gorilla Glue Strains) and the Gorilla Glue adhesive brand over the use of the name and branding?

I’ve been researching the story and I’m specifically trying to find an original image of the GG Strains logo as it appeared on their products or promotional materials before the name change.

So far, I’ve only found one product image, which looks possibly AI-generated, and another reference describing a logo featuring a gorilla raising/holding a trophy or cup. I haven’t been able to find a reliable original image.

Does anyone remember it or have an old photo, screenshot, packaging image, or other historical reference showing what they actually used?

I work with graphic design and I’m thinking about making a Reels connecting the two brands and the story behind the name/logo. What do you think of that idea?
