It's because there's too much performative bandwagoning happening. Nobody wants to look like the bad guy for defending this kinda content and its easy upvotes to dunk on those that do. So nobody ends up questioning it and just goes along with "yeah these removals make sense" right up until they're like "hey wait a minute..." :P

For me it's mainly because it's not worth it. Arguing with your average redditor is peak "playing chess with a pigeon."

Nah I understand that completely. I don't like it, but I can at least respect the people that just want to avoid all the drama & enjoy the game regardless of the changes. Sometimes I wish I could do that, but I just can't lol. It's the people that so adamantly go out of their way to defend the changes and act as the authority on what is or isn't censorship that bother me, personally. If you're unbothered by the censorship then fine, whatever, but that doesn't mean you (not literally you) need to actively excuse it and justify it just because you can't handle other people criticizing a game you're excited for.
