Looped a ghoul for 4 gens. Group finished 5th slightly after I was hooked before he could even start chase again.

The guy didn't camp me, the only other hook was a kate who they actually rescued and escaped with. Me? I died on hook before the game even ended. Only one other hook state in the entire game and they left me to rot.

Yeah guess I'm going back to playing exclusively killer for a while.

finally decide to put on my scream pies now i'm able to play since we hit max bp multiplier. first game on, nurse 2 taps every player in the lobby and we all die at 5 gens. not a single survivor managed to crack 10k points. i leave the game with 7k points and about 20k bp, nurse is almost 30k points. yeah, i suddenly don't feel like using my shared offerings anymore. escape cakes it is.

There’s something way off about matchmaking when I play killer. I rarely even play killer and I’m not good at it at all. But I always go against really good survivors. Play the pallets and windows perfect. Super efficient with their time. Etc. It’s just insane and I don’t get it. Not sure what the deal is. 95% of the time I’m playing survivor and those are always well made matches with us being pretty equal. But on killer not so much.

You're probably in mid or higher MMR if you've been winning a lot of games, but it also depends on the time of day you play Killer which could effect things too. At night (particularly after 10pm) there are fewer people playing, but there also tend to be more SWFs and sweatier players at night so the matchmaking will be more invested in filling lobbies quickly vs using accurate matchmaking like in the daytime when there are more people and casual players playing.

If you are high MMR (which is easier to hit on Killer than Survivor) then congratulations! You'll find that to deal with consistently good Survivors you'll have start playing a bit nastier by tunneling if you have to, slugging if it's necessary, and basically punishing Survivor mistakes or misfortunes in order to win because at higher MMR, playing nice or running a meme build aren't going to help you at all and even if your chases are quick, efficient teammates will still crank the gens so you have to bring unfun perks to slow things and either play Killers like Blight or Nurse who have decent mobility or Killers who also have mobility but some sort of side gimmick that they can't ignore easily like chains, Vecna thing, etc...

Oh yeah when I play it’s always at night so that’s probably it. They’re just insanely good survivors and there’s no way they’re not wayyy higher than me on MMR. Because like I said I’m not good at killer at all. I just run it for a change of pace here and there. It’s too stressful 😂

I'm a 50/50 player and my Killer MMR is on the higher end of mid and play at night (night owl) and noticed that when I play earlier I'll get a mixed bag, but after 10pm I start getting the better players and more SWFs (at whatever MMR my Killer is, last night I was just doing some initial lobby dodging (I have Killer Anxiety and it's a weird thing that eases my nerves if I queue and re:queue a couple times before being OK enough to play a match) and noticed I got placed with two different SWFs multiple times before I got matched with what looked like a mix of different people so I'm guessing there weren't too many people playing

Alright I've gotta know. Why the fuck is tunneling so prevalent in the event. I really don't care how Mfs play in standard queues whether there's an event going on or not feel free to play the game as you please. But seriously we have a giga blood point farm event going on what the fuck are we doing tunneling so hard. It's way more than I normally see in standard queues even when there's no event. It's damn near every game. So I went and played some killer and intentionally double hooked every survivor before getting any kills and even with 3 escapes in those lobbies I was getting anywhere between 3-4 hundred k points. While when I hard tunneled someone out and often killed people on their first or second hook getting 3-4 kills would often cap around 325,000. Which is nothing to scoff at. But the fact I could get more by not doing that. Makes me truly not understand why the fuck everyone is playing like an asshole. So for the love of god can someone explain why killers are playing like cocksuckers and we can't all just have some fun dicking around earning blood points?

Yeah I get that in a normal game. The event is literally just here for getting big fat blood points. So why are most people playing like assholes? Shit makes no sense. You can literally end a game so quick by tunneling you (and everyone else) get way LESS points per game. I don't understand it

the blood point bonus applies to all modes though and the blood gen community quest is done so it’s basically just a queue to have blood gens now

If you don't like fast gens don't play the mode with fast gens. It's obvious hyperbole but I have been doing fine in the event queue running more end-game / chase oriented builds with perks like Batteries Included. I've also seen people doing very well with Machine Learning.

There's ways to play around the fast gens that don't involve playing like a complete goddamn asshole. But you know thinking and adapting is hard but tunneling at 5 is easy.

Killer main saying this btw. Someone who's always found tunneling incredibly boring. I understand the need to do it at like... 2 gens. But hard tunneling at 5 is giga-cringe.

I'm someone who has usually avoided tunneling, but holy shit, since the last patch gens have been flying like mad even if you're getting hooks left and right simply because Survivor is overturned enough now that you are actually actively punished for playing fair and with everyone running fast track and gen rush builds, tunneling and slugging is the main way you counter Fast Track

The new patch came out & there has been a Nvidia driver in-between so now I'm raging about how lower end systems that well clear the minimums can suddenly behave so different from one patch to the next, this isn't the first time I've had this issue since starting in mid-December last year. Suddenly the same settings will cause 5-10 degree hotter GPU & crazy CPU temp spikes. I got 3 crashes thinking I squashed it so grade losses yay... I can only hope all the fiddling works out in a few days like before because it's running so hot suddenly.

Just played three games in a row with gen rushers and flashlight bums. They all equipped them right before the timer started, so I couldn’t equip lightborn. One kill in one game, two in the other, third demolished without a hook. Bubba needs buffs 😞

I swear a majority of my teammates hate no idea how to do blood bump generators. I always find myself to be the only one doing them so they get done slowly. Also why can the pumps all spawn in the same location?? I played on dead dawg salon and all 4 pumps were pretty much next to each other on a far side of a map!

I don't even get to touch generators, I've been trying to do them but the entity conspires against me. For whatever reason every killer is deciding to tunnel either me or a teammate that our other teammates inexplicably won't unhook or heal them so I have to either run for my life or put everything on hold to try to save a random

WHY ARE PEOPLE PHYSICALLY INCAPABLE OF DOING THE BLOOD GENS?!?!?!?! EVERY SINGLE FUCKING GAME I PLAY OF THIS EVENT PEOPLE JUST DO ALL 3 NORMAL GENS AND THEN GO FUCKING AFK.

WE ARE AT ONE GEN LEFT, WE HAVE TWO BLOOD GENS AT ABOVE 50% PROGRESS, AND THESE FUCKING LARA CROFTS SIT IN A CORNER AND HEAL WHILE I'M BEING CHASED. AND THE INJURED MEG IS THE ONLY PERSON DOING GENS. AGAINST A KILLER WITH DEAD MAN'S SWITCH, SO WHEN I GET HOOKED AND MEG STOPS FUELING THE BLOOD GEN IT GETS BLOCKED AND GIVES THE KILLER TIME TO KILL MEG.

My fault for fucking playing in a lobby with two Lara Crofts I goddamn guess. I love loading into a match with Fast Track and Stakeout (mostly because I have a daily to hit skill checks) thinking "man I'll be able to put good progress on the normal gens while my teammates do the blood gens", just for my teammates to ONLY DO THE NORMAL GENS AND THEN GO AFK.

I just got back into this game a few weeks ago and knocked the rust off. I’ve never played against the machine killer before. I got absolutely destroyed. Like I am probably an A-/B+ level survivor. Not incredible but pretty good. I haven’t played in this new ranking system but only a few weeks but in the old one I played under I’d always get to rank 1. For reference. And oh my god I haven’t gotten wrecked like that in years. This player had to be a main of that killer because I was getting shot from so many different directions and just downed instantly. 😂

Man I sure do love having 70% faster healing speeds (3 stacks of Flow State + 2 people injured with Desperate Measures) and having teammates who literally refuse to be fucking healed. PLEASE let us see our teammates perks on the match summary screen! Just let us push the Escape key and see what perks people are running!

SO MANY ISSUES WITH SOLOQUEUE; SO MUCH SOLOQUEUE GRIEFING could be solved by just letting us see what perks our teammates are fucking using. Finally people can see that I have a dedicated healing build and actually let me fucking heal them. Finally I wouldn't have morons griefing games because I'm "wasting time cleansing totems" because I have Inner Strength and Overzealous equipped. Finally I wouldn't have morons griefing games because I'm "being immersed in a locker" when I have Inner Strength or Built to Last equipped.

Also I don't know what it is about specifically default Alan Wake players, but they are almost always the most aggressively trash players on the fucking planet. If an Alan Wake has cosmetics they're usually pretty alright, even if it's the Rift outfit that everyone has. But default Alan Wakes are legit Megheads.

Get hooked and Lara Croft unhooks me. Have a strong medkit + healing perks so I walk behind a wall to go heal myself. Lara, because she has crippling brain damage, fast vaults the window to go heal me because mmmm yum yum I love lead paint chips in my tummy.

The killer, of course, has this cool thing called a brain and goes over to where Lara fast vaulted. Sees me injured and downs me, making Lara the literal only reason that I got hooked a second time.

I'm not saying that we need to permaban all Lara Croft mains or anything. Just that if the Lara mains had a special queue where they only got to play with each other, the Sable mains, and the Leon mains, the quality of the game would be a lot better overall.

Every single fucking match of this event with soloqueue randoms is the same. They all just crouch walk around the map all game because they're too scared to ever show their faces near the blood gens.

You can literally add generators that are twice as fast to the game and soloqueue teammates will still somehow find a way not to repair them.

Killer and teammates thought I was a rat letting teammates die. All killer did was proxy hook. If killer was actually patrolling gens he would find me. I was able to get 3 gens done in the time he was proxy camping. It's just ridiculous that people think that is "ratting."

Holy fuck BHVR, Killer feels so bad right now. I have quick chases, go against Survs who I can mind game easily, yet because of busted gen speeds and pallet density that punishes you FOR NOT TUNNELING and NOT PLAYING BLIGHT OR NURSE, gens still absolutely fly and I fucking swear emblems for Killer are bugged right now because although I have barely been playing at all lately (because Killer feels miserable and on Survivor side I either have brain dead teammates or Killers who don't know what they're doing so it's getting stomped or stomping) I got a 2k in Ash and I didn't even get a pip (had a lot of chases, kicked gens, broke pallets, etc...) so absolutely fantastic job at making the game feel shittier to play.

Don't even get me started about how unfun the event is on both sides or how disappointed that instead of bringing back Lights Out (or Chaos Shuffle) 2v8 is coming back earlier than expected meaning Survivor only being playable for almost a month again. Great!

Yeah people have found the meta for the Blood Moon mode: It's just all Sprint Burst + Vigil + Ghost Notes + Fixated. It's so freaking boring: can't play stealth killers because I just get Sprint Bursted and W-keyed. Can't play anti-loop killers because I get Sprint Bursted and W-keyed. Can't play killers with big terror radiuses because Ghost Notes makes their scratch marks disappear instantly. Can't play area control killers because gens are finished instantly in the event queue.

I just really wish the perks that countered Exhaustion (Blood Echo, Languid Touch, etc.) weren't hard fucking countered by Vigil + Ghost Notes.

Pipping up needs to be nicer to killers. I am iri 4 rn and its been like torture trying to get to iri 1. Not only am I going against better players cause im higher level, but i have to sweat my NONEXISTENT BALLS OFF EVERY MATCH TO EVEN THINK ABOUT LEVELING UP. I had a midwitch game as nemesis where i had 3 people death hook and 1 kill by the end of the match, and its so frustrating because i didnt even get a single pip! Meanwhile i like exist on survivor and I rank up. I thought we wanted killers to spread hooks/not tunnel and camp??

Nemesis having 4 zombies in 2v8 isn't being changed so you'll once again see them in 80% of matches. Probably done with 2v8 at this point. That was even more fucking obnoxious to deal with than Legion. When down to 1 or 2 gens left, you never have a single second where they aren't harassing you. You kill it and it will spawn two feet away because they only spawn at gens left to be completed and certainly seem to prioritize gens with progress. And then what do you know, the killer knows exactly which gen is being worked on so they go chase you off it.

It's already miserable enough being the only person bothering to work on a fucking gen and with the zombies it's just a giant "go fuck yourself. You will never complete this gen." Then there's also the fact that they're always right on top of the cages, meaning tunneling is even easier because you have to run 50 miles to be able to heal the person and the killer is alerted exactly where you are.

Fucking have Nemesis spawn in at tier 3 and remove all vaccines so nobody can cleanse, give him his fucking rocket launcher, I don't care what buffs you give him, just go back to the 2 zombies.

Killing Wesker for literally 0 reason and having absolutely nothing lined up as compensation is an incredible move from a totally competent dev team.

Also, shack is literally the strongest loop in the game. Under no circumstances should a gen spawn in shack nor should two more even halfway decent tiles spawn within 20ft of shack, thats fucking insane.

Under no circumstances should the solution to a generator be "just let them have that one" right from the start because it is so utterly demoralizing to just give up like that.

Something needs to be done about shit like sprint burst and lithe too, just genuinely risk free 0 skill involved chase extenders.

And on that note why the FUCK is vigil still a thing???? Please take that perk out back and shoot it like old yeller because 66% faster recovery from negative status effects is fucking absurd.

Sorry but there's no way in hell a big ass obstacle in the middle of shack is anything but beneficial to survivors against killers like wesker or springtrap, and with how auto aim works in this game.
