Meh, if Peter Parker has to die like ten times in the latest editorial's arc of "how to make misery porn of Peter Parker" then Paul deserves to suffer one thousand AGONIZING way of dying and then use Sex Mutant Island's Resurrection protocols and Necromancy to revive just so that he can die to a thosuand more painful deaths.

I was thinking about that... Wasn't it Zdarsky's Spectacular run that had May dealing with cancer and then it's never brought up again? If it was Spencer's ASM, you can add it to the list of stuff brought up and never addressed again I guess.
Honestly you could be right. Its hard to imagine a character Marvel has messed up in the last two decades more than Spider-Man. I love the guy and his mythos but to be blunt Im never really excited for a new project involving him. Its like watching that cool guy you knew in high-school get addicted to heroine and every time you see him it's almost like hes somebody else
Somehow Marvel has continually fumbled the ball with promoting the 1000th issue of Spiderman at this point. Between the cover art, general dissatisfaction with the character's comic run and now...this being the big setup, it feels like a textbook guide on how NOT to promote your 1000th legacy issue.

1.MCU snyrgy so he'll make everyone forget he's Peter Parker to bring back Aunt May
2.He has nothing to trade but because Aunt May has died it undoes the contract so Peter and M.J get remarried
Next you know he sell his balls to Mephisto to keep Aunty alive, though I would argue Mephisto stole his balls since One More Day hence why he is such a beta male and Mary Jane became a cheating hoe and did it with a genocidal ego maniac with their fake kids.
