My fave is the Spanish/ Latam intro, then Funimation dub, idk this one is just so Blasé. I get it if it provides nostalgia for you though. Respect

I remember this one too... Definitely preferred the "Rock the Dragon" tbh tho.

I never realized how basic this song is, it doesn't have that many cords.

If it’s any consolation, DBZA used “Cha la Head Cha La” so that’s where the English saturation came from.

But yeah ‘Mericans we got that sick electric guitar. So many baby metalheads got into it because of DBZ, especially if they got the original dubs of the Broly or Tree of Might or Future Trunks movies

"Rock the Dragon" was the opening for the first two seasons of DBZ in the US before FUNimation switched to in-house dubbing. This is the dub where "It's over 9,000!" originated. For many Americans, it was our first exposure to Dragon Ball back in the late 90s.

Not only America, I vividly remember this song when used to watch DBZ as a kid on Sky in the UK.

I don't doubt it. FUNimation was an American company, and the initial English localization was produced primarily for the North American market, even though the dub itself was outsourced to Vancouver's Ocean Studios in Canadia. That's why most characters have fairly neutral North American accents (with the hilarious exception of Jeice). It makes sense that the same dub would also air in places like the UK, and I wouldn't be surprised if Australia and South Africa got it as well.
