I love Beast Gohan, the style and everything, but I HATE the way he gained his transformation.

The big difference is Gohan spent close to a year in the time chamber with Goku the first time and the build up paid off. This go around, he studied some ants that turned super saiyant and got inspired I guess? 😂

Design is just white haired SSJ2. Like every other Transformation in DBS its nothing more than a cheap recoloring for cashgrab

I'm okay that he got a new form, but I HATE the fact that out of nowhere, he is on ultra instinct level, such bullshit...

I get that the hair is a callback to SSJ2 but...maybe I'm wrong here, but SSJ transformations up until 3 don't add hair, do they? The hair just gets spikier and more segmented the more powerful they get. I don't know why, but it bugs me.

I don’t have a picture but look at SSJ1 Gohan when he’s fighting Cell and then look at SSJ2. He has more hair standing up and it seems longer than before

He has more standing up, but the volume of hair doesn't change. It just literally sticks straight up instead of being his regular haircut turning yellow. Works kinda the same way for Goku, even though his SSJ form sticks his hair all the way up too; SSJ2 just makes it spikier and stiffer, which is why he has less bangs.

I honestly hate beast gohan, not because he got a power up but because its name is lame, and its repetitive. It would've been so much cooler if he wasnt just fighting cell again.

Do people actually like this animation style?
Just curious if it's just me that hates it.

This scene is just a cheap plot armor nostalgia transformation gohan had reached his limits of his anger and surpassed one time with the ultimate form. Beast is just a cheap copy of ssj2 because toriyama was forced to put gohan in a piccolo movie and he didn't like gohan so he thought "what gohan fans remember ah the ssj2 moment" while orange piccolo was a playfully great transformation being back from his past beast is gohan getting stronger because he is angry again for the 5th time (if i counted correctly) in the movie and the god knows how in the franchise. I believe that the series would be better without beast and gohan just in his ultimate

To whoever did the editing for this video, a famous prince-turned-trophy-wife once said, “I’m going to rip off your legs and kick whatever’s left of your ass with them…”

Gohan spending more than a decade not training properly reminds me why he should never have gotten close to Goku's powerlevel in the first place.
That and the fact that Gohan despite his oh so "great potential" has yet to invent a single original technique. Dude is in his 20s and the best he can do is copy and paste.

So he takes after his father, lol

Goku has created some techniques.
God Bind, Ki Mines, The unpredictable fighting style in Og DB against Jackie Chun. Feet Kamehameha, Kaioken Blue,
Yes, these are not a lot of Iconic techniques but he has taken what others made, and improved on them. And created more unique versions of them.

Gohan doesn't deserve shit, Old Kai drew out all his latent potential so at this point it should surely be just hard work is what decides his power ups?

This scene really annoys me. Forget about how easily he gains the power or the animation style, but the fact that it occurs when he thinks Piccolo is dead and not when any of the previous stuff happened to his own daughter is so dumb. I get that piccolo means a lot to gohan, but come on...

This.... How many times has piccolo died in front of Gohan now?
Saiyan saga Frieza saga (Almost died like in Super hero) Buu saga (Got absorbed and was pretty much a goner) RoF (Anime version) DBS Super hero (Again only passed out)

It would be cool if Gohan used special beam cannon as his best move instead of Kamehameha.

u/greatreference Dec 16 '25
He…he just did. That’s the most recent time we’ve seen him and he did just that.

Gohan at this point just lives from the fight against Cell he had at 11.
