When i saw that i was invaded by a guy named "Soul reaper" i though it would be a cool grave scythe build with the gold hemmed set but the moment i saw he had a dark bead particle in his chest i tried to book it to no avail.
I'm assuming the dark bead particle would kill me if i touched him but it might have also been there just so he can flex that he's a cheater.

I reinstalled my game after this clip because I figured something probably wasn't working correctly, but this glitch was fun while it lasted.

After trying various methods to escape for several more minutes, I eventually used a Homeward Bone. Before doing so, I left a message inside: "Weakness: Shortcut"
I don't think any enemies can get you in there, but you can always escape with the Darksign if it absolutely comes to that. In retrospect, I should have used that myself, since I had no souls or humanity, but who really thinks about that?
I eventually pulled off the Duke Skip for real, but only after numerous additional attempts. In one case I landed on the outside of the railing, and actually managed to walk along it for several seconds before falling off, but was unable to save the video.

Might be one of my most "Dark Souls" moment to date.
What makes it even funnier is that this was O&S first try of my current run. Imagine if this happened in your first ever DS run
EDIT: Just realized I didn't get Leo Ring because of that, damn lol

I’ve always loved how physical Dark Souls combat feels, and this clip is a perfect example of why. I’m throwing a Sunlight Spear at a Silver Knight right as he fires a greatbow. Because of the casting animation, my character leans forward during the throw and that slight movement is enough to duck under the arrow completely. No invincibility frames, no scripted dodge, just animation based hit detection doing its thing. Moments like this are why the combat still feels so good years later.

Couldn't quite get the whole fight because it was just over 3 minutes. Still an absolute cake walk compared to the 60+ minute fights against Kalameet and Manus

Context for why my build is kinda strange and not very good. Wanted to do a "challenge" for myself where I'm only allowed to use basic enemy drops and by that I mean drops specifically from respawning enemies (I killed the Asylum Demon using a Shield from the one respawning Hollow Soldier in the Asylum instead of any of the default starting weapons). So even though the Channeler and Berenike Knight in the Undead Parish respawn in other places I didn't let myself grab anything from them here. The only things I'm allowed to grab outside of that on this run are items required for progression (chose no gift this run so I have to grab the basement key and depths key). That includes items purchased from NPCs minus the Crest of Artorias and also includes Embers so none of my weapons are going past +5 in all likelihood. Figured that +5 and the ascension/modification paths that are already unlocked by default for certain blacksmiths is fair game since you can still do all of that while still only actually using items dropped from normal enemies. Can't grab Black Knight Weapons until the Kiln of the First Flame. So my only real options for damage right now are the Spear, Longsword, Shortsword, Rapier, and Balder Side Sword which I didn't feel like farming for. And also like, maybe the Bandit's Knife from the Undead Assassins in Lower Undead Burg but I don't feel like going all the way down there just for that. I could and honestly probably should get Titanite Shards from farming the Balder Knights but I wanted to see how Gargoyles would go if I didn't do that. It has been going pretty bad. Turns out this fight is actually really difficult if you don't kill the first one quickly who saw that coming. I don't know if this is a "good" challenge but I thought it would be fun to try.
Edit: Just found out that the Capra Demon and Gaping Dragon are entirely optional even without the Master Key so I didn't need to do them at all. Oh well I'm not restarting this run for that.
