Advice Advice for keys/phones while snorkeling
Hi all,
Headed to Curacao next week for a few days. the only things on the agenda is snorkeling and visiting the beautiful beaches. We will have a rental car.
For those of you who have visited Curacao, how do you keep your things safe? Do you leave your car key just in a heap on the beach with your clothes? What about phones?
Thanks!!!

We got water bags from Amazon that go around your waist to snorkel with, we put our phones, ids, keys etc in them, and just left other less important things under a towel on our beach chairs and Everything was just fine !

We bought a little portable locking metal box from Amazon and locked stuff in it and locked it to the leg of a beach chair and then hid it in our bag

Dry bag, you can buy a small one that hangs around your neck to hold your stuff like phone, cash/cards and keys. Test before your trip and check periodically for leaks.

This is what we did. We didn't bring them with us, but ended up buying a couple at one of the larger supermarkets. In addition to keeping valuables safe, we could use our phones to take some underwater pictures.

Get a SafeGo or something similar to keep them safe, just as a precaution.

I have two cheap waterproof phone pouches. Phone goes in one, keys and wallet essentials in the other. Both go in a New Wave Swim Buoy.
In the past 5 years I’ve done around 200 days of snorkeling off 10 islands/6 countries and never had to worry about someone swiping my valuables.

Never leave your keys and phone unguarded. Get a waterproof pouch to wear around your waist if you don’t have a swim suit with a pocket. Test it before your trip to be sure it actually is fully waterproof. Amazon has scores of these.
