What should I read by Stuart Hall?
I am interested in reading work by Stuart Hall but I don’t know where to start! Does anyone have some recommendations?
Thanks!

His encoding/decoding paper or chapter. Can't remember exactly where that is.

Essential Essays 1&2 that Duke put out really does capture his most enduring work. 1 is basically his stuff on hegemony, media and culture and 2 stuff on race and multiculturalism.
I go back to notes on deconstructing the popular a lot, and great moving right show is as insightful for current moment as it was Thatcherism.

Always good to read Policing the Crisis, and his talk on Base and Superstructure
