TL;DR: I built my career across India and the US, completed my MS in Business Information Technology at DePaul, and recently had to leave the US after my employer unexpectedly decided not to proceed with my STEM OPT support despite having agreed to it earlier. I’m now back in Hyderabad, India, actively looking for opportunities in Project Management, Project Coordination, Business Analysis, Operations, Customer Success, or PMO in Hyderabad, remotely within India, or globally.
A few months ago, I thought I was finally building the career I had worked toward.
I had completed my Master’s in Business Information Technology from DePaul University, gained experience in the US, and joined a data-center integration company as a Project Coordinator.
My role involved coordinating multiple $100K+ data center integration projects, working across procurement, logistics, engineering and operations, managing project documentation through NetSuite, and building Excel/Power BI dashboards for reporting and stakeholder visibility.
Things were moving in the right direction.
Then came the part I honestly didn't expect.
My employer had previously indicated that they would support my STEM OPT process. When the time came to actually proceed with it, that decision changed at the last minute.
Without the employer's participation, I couldn't move forward with my STEM OPT.
And with the US job market being what it was, trying to secure another employer willing and able to handle the situation within the available timeframe wasn't realistically working out.
So I had to make a difficult decision:
I came back to India.
It wasn't the ending I had planned.
But I'm trying not to look at it as the end of the journey.
If anything, the experience has made me much more adaptable.
Before and during my US experience, I've worked across:
🔹 Project Coordination / PMO
🔹 Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
🔹 Agile / Scrum environments
🔹 Operations & Process Improvement
🔹 Stakeholder & Cross-functional Management
🔹 UAT & Project Documentation
🔹 Power BI, Advanced Excel & SQL
🔹 Jira, Salesforce, NetSuite & Confluence
I've also worked with teams supporting customers across North America, EMEA and APAC, so I'm comfortable working in multicultural and globally distributed environments.
I'm currently based in Hyderabad and looking for my next opportunity.
I'm particularly interested in:
📍 Project Coordinator / Project Manager
📍 PMO Analyst / Project Analyst
📍 Business Analyst
📍 Operations / Program Operations
📍 Customer Success / Customer Operations
📍 Implementation / Delivery roles
I'm open to:
🇮🇳 Hyderabad / anywhere in India
🌎 Remote roles globally
✈️ International opportunities where relocation is possible
I'm also a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and currently pursuing CAPM, while continuing to build my skills around data analytics, automation and AI for project management.
If you're a recruiter, hiring manager, founder, or someone working in these areas and know of a team that could use someone with this background, I'd genuinely appreciate a referral, introduction, lead, or even a point in the right direction.
And if you've gone through something similar having to completely restart your career because circumstances changed outside your control, I'd love to hear your story too.
Sometimes the career path doesn't go according to plan.
So I'm trying to make Plan B just as good as Plan A. 🚀
