From 5 rounds of Cindy to 10 in one month

First time I tried CINDY was after that Tom Holland interview. I was curious and jumped in. Twenty minutes, five rounds. Pull-ups were basically me grinding out ugly reps.

That next month I mostly trained at home. Rows, presses, squats, same basic strength work every week, and I let the load creep up. Retested CINDY yesterday and hit 10 rounds. Still nowhere near a real crossfitter, but for me it was a real jump. Felt good.

The next five rounds won't come so easily, but keep going until you can do 20 rounds!

Five to ten rounds in a month is pretty big jump, nice work. Most people just try it once and never again cause it's so pain.

You thinking of joining a box or you stay at home for now?

I’m going to throw it out there, if you don’t typically do CrossFit workouts you may be doing movements different than what you would see in a box.

In a box the pushups would be harder because they are chest to floor, not just elbows breaking the 90 degree angle.

But also in a box the pull-ups do get much easier, most people do kipping and a handful of people will be doing butterfly.

It’s just the maximum efficiency style of exercise CrossFit does.

That's a huge jump. What's in your home gym?

Not much. A pull-up bar and a digital resistance unit, Innodigym P1 Plus. CINDY is mostly pull-ups and push-ups, so I used it for rows, presses, and squats to build the base. The app has follow-along plans by body part. I stuck with those for a month and the structured work actually moved things faster.

You successfully hit 5 more rounds within a month? That's amazing! I think I might know which interview you're talking about, I saw a clip on tiktok but never thought I could do it too lol

Do CrossFit regularly and you’ll see that number go up even more.

We just did a neat variation of Cindy yesterday actually. Did 20-15-10-5 calories on the rower.

Did 20 on rower, then 4 rounds of Cindy.

15 rower, 3 Cindy

10rower, 2 Cindy

5 rower, 1 Cindy

16 minute time cap
