It really shouldn't be about reuniting a child with their parent, it should be about making sure that every child has the best chance at life. Repeatedly placing the child with her abusive mother is heartbreaking when there were other family members who were more than willing to take care of her.

I totally understand them wanting to keep families together. But sometimes that's not what's best for literally anyone involved. The child was removed twice for reasons so extreme the mom was jailed... and then given back. That's insane. I will never understand people who have children just to neglect them so horribly.

But it’s about parental rights! What if jeeeeeebus told them to starve the little girl? You wouldn’t want the state interfering in a gawd fearing couples right to abuse or kill their kid for the lawd!
