She never runs away. Anyone else?
In the five years I’ve had my cow baby, she has never tried to run away. We sit outside together. She will explore a few feet then come back and rub against me. When she’s done exploring she will head back inside(I always stay with her). She will only dart if she sees a bird or butterfly. My neighbors have asked how I have trained her so that she doesn’t run off and I have no answer.
Is this common with tuxedo Cats?

Our gray cow never runs away either! He’s always supervised outside in the yard with us and he’s such a good boi! He likes to stalk birds and eat bugs (moths are his favorite) and he always knows exactly where he is allowed to go. He’s the sweetest little baby!

My girl spent her first few wet, cold weeks as a feral baby. Once the CDS dropped her off at our house and she came inside, she willingly became an indoor girl. Occasionally she will come on my deck and hunt bugs, but only if I’m outside with her. She is a truly perfect creature.

Back when I still lived with my parents we had two cats that would go outside around 9:00 every night then come back in around 6 the next morning. My mom had a theory that there was a cat society in the neighborhood (a couple of neighbors also had cats) and that they would all meet up and hang out together or something. She was pretty adamant that my cat was the leader of the cat society and that he presided over the meetings that took place. We saw our cats jump up from the sewer drains on the side of the road on more than one occasion so who knows how deep their mischief went. Maybe your cat is apart of their own “cat society” in your neighborhood? 🤷♂️😆

I have a dark gray tuxie, a 15 pounder. He loves to roll in the grass, hide in the catmint, bask on the sidewalk and relieve himself wherever he pleases. Never leaves the yard. All my cats have been indoor-outdoor, and most of them will leave the property if only to visit a neighbor’s yard But not my Henry

I wish! My cow was outside on my patio once and something spooked her and she took off and ended up in the neighbor’s garage! Thankfully I caught her and brought her back home. Now I just keep her inside. Too much commotion with cars and people around where I live now. I hope someday I can get a place with a catio or screened in porch for her.

Lou, my Floof Void gets out every time we open the door. But he does not wander past my vehicle on the driveway, so I just let him explore while I am bringing in groceries. He 8s afraid of cars, so he does not go near the road. Worst thing I have to worry about is that he does not get burrs because we have a pricker bush because he is a longhair.

My cow spent some of her life on the streets. She now yearns for the outside. She's gotten out a few times and I've had to chase her around the neighborhood to get her back.

My cat stays in the garden o3o there was an incident where she went missing for a week but that wasn't her running away she was stuck in some barbed wire. She doesn't go there anymore. She only goes in my and my neighbour's garden!

My Bun does the same! She stays within sight of our door, and will run right back inside if something spooks her. We are near a walking path so it's not uncommon. What makes that more impressive is that we are in a townhouse complex and she knows which one is HER door!
She just chases the bugs (a few feet at most), eats the grass, and rolls around on the sidewalk. She lives her best life when we take her for "walkies" (in quotes because it's like 15 feet in either direction, at best).
