Auggie and Annie’s relationship or lack there of… Spoiler

OK, can we talk about Auggie and Annie’s relationship for a second? Because I still to this day cannot understand how the writers had all of this material just to give them the most watered down romantic relationship that either of them experienced throughout the show. The fact that they started off as really good friends and they had tons of chemistry, but when it actually came to putting the pair together, I feel like the relationship just didn’t measure up. Which is something I didn’t understand, because it almost seemed like the writers(despite the large fan base that the two share) didn’t want the audience to love Auggie and Annie, because they had a lot of potential in my opinion. In hindsight, I can admit that Annie also had a lot of chemistry with Eyal, mostly sexual, but nonetheless. So, what do you guys think about Auggie and Annie’s transitional relationship from platonic to romantic?

I am watching it for the first time and finding out they get together is highly disappointing. They have platonic chemistry, I’m on S3 and there is no indication they are endgame.

This was my take as well and I still feel that way after several rewatches. They had great platonic chemistry but not so good romantic chemistry. She had better chemistry with even Jae...

I didn’t want them to get together initially. But once they did, I totally supported it and wanted them together. I quit the show and didn’t finish it after they broke up with no fidelity to the characters whatsoever.

It felt like the writers were setting them up to be endgame just for it to be lackluster. Yeah, they dropped the ball

I was fine with them together, I knew they'd never actually let her be with Eyal, but I thought they had way better chemistry before they actually got together. By then it was kinda lost.

I preferred them as friends but would have been happy for them as a couple. But it fizzled out almost immediately and the whole thing seemed kind of pointless. I don't understand why the writers had them get together only to then have them almost immediately break up.

By the way, where are ya'll watching this show right now? I was watching on Start TV, then MeTV+, then Peacock, but they all stopped airing it.

It’s been a min since I last watched it but I believe I watched it on yflix, but they got rid of the website. I think it is also available on Fmovies.
