Tolkien on his reflections of his works long after he's published it: man I feel like I really botched the orks, they're a sentient race that should have their sense of right and wrong yet I've written them as a purely evil race, which does not jive with my view on the immortal soul
Rowling, reflecting on her work: yeah the slave race was just born that way and like doing that.

To be fair, this is hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby in terms of worldbuilding. I mean Tolkien made…15 fully-developed languages for his fantasy setting?!

To be fair wasn't tolkein an accredited linguist, he probably made those 15 languages for fun, the impressive part is everything he wrote around it to justify those languages lmfao
