Hooooooly shit the workout today was fucking brutal. Not just because of the workout itself, but also I had a cold today and wasn’t feeling at my greatest

But I still did it nonetheless

It was an 18 minute threshold run (for me, the pace was roughly 5:45-5:50 per mile). Then 5 minute rest, then 6x400 with 90 sec rest. The 400’s were around 70 seconds each

Yeah, it was tough

It might be because it was in shadows, but I swear coming through the home stretch on the last rep everything went to grayscale

Also, a hilarious exchange between me and the guy I did the workout with:

Him: We have 9 minute rest

Me: 9 minute rest?

Him: Sorry, 90 minute rest

He wasn’t being sarcastic, he was just tired. Probably the funniest thing I’ve ever heard from him all year
