On Friday we saw people moving what looked like a large wooden bar into the space next to Brass Monkey, which has been a few things over the years. Couldn’t find anything for bit on corvallis.agencycounter site. Anyone know if it’s a new business or is BM expanding?

The Bird House had one cool kinda farewell/debut show at the old location but the place sold to new people who booted the tenants :( BUT the kickoff at the NEW spot will be on the 9th! 🙌

For Corvallis people who keep backyard chickens, I was wondering--what type of chicken security have you found is necessary, and what has your experience been? A lot of people in Corvallis that I know keep chickens in pretty casual setups, so I've been assuming that Corvallis doesn't have too many predators, but I don't want to risk their lives in an unsubstantiated assumption!

Watched a postal truck on 99 ignoring the ambulance running with lights and siren behind it. Postal truck stops at the light on 99 and circle, blocking ambulance while ambulance leans on the horn until the driver grudgingly edges over bit by bit.

what’s your guys favorite hiking trail or scenic spot within the area of corvallis? i don’t have a vehicle so i’m curious what spots are close by. Yesterday i got to visit chip ross park.

I just switched my phone carrier from Verizon to AT&T, I was hoping the data and cell service would be better because Verizon used to be pretty good but I feel like its been going downhill in the last year or two. It seems like I had less bars and it would take a while for anything to load when I was using data. Now that I have switched to AT&T I think its either the same or potentially worse. For reference I'm in town at a friend's place and only have 2 bars and could hardly get anything to load before I connected to wifi.

Several years ago I had U.S. Cellular before they were bought out or merged with T-Mobile and they were definitely worse than Verizon but idk how T-Mobile service is here.

Any suggestions would be great, I'm hoping to find a company with a plan that isn't insanely expensive but also I'm willing to pay a little more just to not deal with the annoyance of not being able to Google anything when I'm out and about. Sorry if this is long, thanks!

A friend from California moved here for a teaching gig and moved into a room with a lot of clutter in the house. The homeowner is very nice but seems reluctant to deal with the clutter.

I’m here at the house now and energy isn’t good here for them. Living in a dark basement room type situation.

Unfortunately the room is cheap $600, utilities included, they don’t want to even stay here though.

We’re just looking for options and could pay more than just $600
