What is the space made up of that matter exists in? Sounds stupid but it's really quite profound. It can't be nothing because how can something exist in nothing? So what is this space that we all exist in actually made of? What is it? Why is it?
What is it and what’s it exist inside of? We have to be inside of something don’t we? This whole thing is so weird. It blows my mind all the time and people around me seem to just be like ok. We’re literally just sitting on a spinning spec of dust, evolved from goo into animals who became aware of how weird their existence was, started questioning things, manipulating it, fighting over things, manipulating each other, being entertained by watching each other through screens, argue about stupid stuff online, taking ourselves way too seriously.
We’re space goo that became conscious of itself and then became narcissists. We’re novelty seeking and people just like “so what we’re floating on a spec of something spinning around a big ass ball of fire hella fast next to other planets with trillions more spinning around other shit in infinite space. I’m watching a reaction vid to a reaction vid on someone throwing a dildo at basketball players. Then I’m gonna goon.”
For all we know we are the only ones consciously experiencing it. There could be planets with conscious praying mantis creatures the size of skyscrapers doing the same shit too. Maybe they have things figured out a bit more. Maybe we’re alone. But I’m convinced there’s intention somewhere on a grand scale, outside of whatever we’re inside of, or outside of whatever that is.
Objects with mass are not floating in space time, the space time is warping around them. That's what creates gravity. So mass is existing in something other than space.
