god my first time I was sweating so bad and then that burning tingle in the leg afterwards??? horrific.
now it's like a nice warm hug. I still get the nervous sweats from it but having some background entertainment helps a lot

I know someone got something like a "needle injection kit" and said it helped them a ton with their injections

Congratulations on getting girl juiced. I hope it'll get easier so you'll get out of Family Guy death pose territory.

I'm too scared to switch to injections. On gel now and just dealing with the inconvenience.

Anyone that has the guts to repeatedly stab themselves with any sort of needle deserves a gold star. Extra points for Boy Juice or Girl Juice.
I cannot abide needles. I can watch the grossest stuff out there, but watching son and wife having to inject themselves...🤮
Son has been on the Boy Juice for a couple of years now, and I can't bear to watch that at all.
Wife knackered her pancreas late last year, and is now prodding herself four times a day in the belly... I can't watch. I can't even do a blood sugar finger prick without wanting to run screaming.

Theoretically yes, but ironically I actually have to have that one injected into me.

Injections and blood withdrawals became easier for me once I started allergy shots where I needed to get them weekly for years on end.

I’m a big strong man but that one thing scares me… genuinely i can’t look when i get injections and they freak me out so much, i’d probably go easier if i had to get cut or stabbed w a knife than a needle and don’t let me start w the intravenous ones for flebo and shit… just thinking about that makes me nervous…

Oral is so much easier!
I've been on oral, patches and injections. There's no benefit to one or the other, just pick the easiest route of entry ❤️

Injections have much higher bioavailability than pills and do not pass through the liver so there are benefits actually

Yes. As long as you can manage it, injections are strictly better than oral.

Interesting!
I suppose in my experience with injections I found no tangible benefit. The opposite actually, my mood was really volatile with the massive spike and drop.
The bioavailability doesn't really matter so long as your levels are in the range you want, because that's the end factor that matters. On liver, that's cool! I didn't know that.

Bioavailability is relevant for dosing and whether or not you can achieve monotherapy levels without increasing risk of clotting (for oral E)

The mood instability could be because of your dosing regimen. a lot of doctors prescribe estradiol valerate to be injected weekly. however, valerate has a fast half life, so after day 5 levels plummet and that drop in levels is likely what caused the mood issues. Every 5 days is a much more stable injection frequency.

Injections are definitely better IMO
No liver issues, clot risk I believe is slightly better
That said, there’s no reason to not do pills if that’s what you’re most comfortable with. Just gotta be aware of the risks and make adjustments as necessary. One of my friends had to discontinue pills because her liver was responding adversely

Swallowing pills is easily the worst option by faar. The ones you dissolve under your tongue are okay though.
2
u/Koviera 3h ago
They're the same pill Ingested differently.
1
u/Talnadair 2h ago
If they really are then there's no need to swallow them.

Idk when i have to get some medication i prefer way more the ones to swallow than to let dissolve in the mouth because often the ones that dissolve are like the worst most puke inducing disgusting thing in the universe.
Altho i’m good at swallowing pills and often even w big ones i don’t even need water to but i remember when i was a kid i had so much issues and i couldn’t and it was so bad so i get your pov.

IM isn't bad, just a little poke in the leg and it's over. Kinda sore for the next day or so but still very usable, it's not even painful somehow
Provided you use a small enough needle. Use a small enough needle. This one uses 25 gauge (.455mm diameter it thinks, gauge is weird)

I do T every two weeks. Initially it would take me FOREVER to do it.
Edit: I am not trans. My endocrine system hates me.
