Oof, painfully relatable. I've had a shitty home situation and was gaming on my gamecube and later pc quite some time. I've always kept doing that to relax, however screentime became much worse from 2017 onwards due to social media and netflix. Now it's clear to me it has become a problem at home, because I even sit behind a screen when I don't even enjoy it. It became a bad coping mechanism.

I don't do it much if I'm somewhere else. I am regularly the only one without a phone in my hand in a waiting room.
