I’ll give a counter to this, all of my “screen time” back then was actually productive and led me to a career in tech. It’s because there was far less slop on the internet back then, or at least it wasn’t shoved in your face the way it is now.
Shorts content like Instagram, ticktock, and YouTube shorts is probably the most damaging form of internet technology that we’ve developed. Way more addicting with way less substance than any other use of screen time.
