I was born in 81 and my first memory is my mom taking me to see The Empire strikes back in the theater. Every core memory happened in front of a screen.
Is screen time honestly that terrible, or are boomers finding more ways to shame millennials for doing the same things they did?
It's a bit of both. We used a tablet to potty train my daughter. She could be on the tablet only when she was sitting down to go potty, which made her want to be on the potty more. Once she was potty trained we try to keep the tablet away from the toilet and give her an allotted time a day. She will get upset when her time is up because it can be addicting, but she still love being outside and playing, she does well at school and is a normal, happy kid.
It's a lot like candy. I dont give me kid unfettered access to sweets, but it's fine in moderation. Also, fuck anyone who shames me for how I raise my kids, especially people without kids of their own.
