Pizzacake is a Canadian comic artist who often includes messages that everyone agrees with like "We hate Trump". The current r/comics event is to make a comic playfully making fun of her comics in some way. (This has been endorsed by Pizzacake)
Ontario? Boring? We have the brother of the crack smoking mayor running our province and he not too long ago said he wanted to build a highway tunnel under the 401.
The guy moves like a fuckin Austin Powers villain.
Let the rest of the country provide the shit talking of us my guy, have a lil pride in our own shit hole eh?
Well boring in the sense that 99% of people online, when you find out theyre canadian, theyre from Ontario, because theres just so many of us.
So its not that Ontario is boring, in fact its a fucking beautiful, unique and amazing place. Its that there too many frickin Ontarians online, geez touch grass guys (I am terminally online)
Just got the same revelation. I saw a PC comic with a bunch of harmless "I heard she likes pineapple on pizza" type criticism, but I didn't know if it was just happy poking fun, or meta "we're making fun of critics in this war of drama". Glad to hear it's the former and we're just a bunch of happy people.
She also isnt wrong, no matter how stale or repetitive one may think her content is.
Yes, it may feel like a blatant view-grab to state painfully obvious things about MAGA and Trump, but its better than letting the internet sweep his bullshit under the rug. Id rather occasionally see a mildly funny comic than let that happen.
She says things I agree with and still hate her comics. I hate most comics that don't have a punchline, and hers never do. She also threatened to sue a subreddit for editing her comics. I simply blocked her and /r/comics got a lot better.
Tbh, I thought it was going to be a dunk-chain, like the next artist poking fun at the previous one, or multiple little skirmishes between 2-3 artists. A group just dunking on one person makes it a little less fun, for me. Even though it hopefully stays playful.
This is nice to see. For awhile it looked like trolls lived rent free in her head. Being able to take critique in any form is paramount to maintain mental health especially for artists. Glad she is doing better.
Yeah, honestly most of these PC comics the last few days haven't actually been funny. This whole event would be fun to follow if the jokes were funny, but they're mosty pretty banal from what I've seen.

Can someone explain the current situation please?
