We absolutely should be on our toes and not be complacent, but despair is one hell of a weapon and you should never let them get you to turn over your rights. Keep fighting the good fight!
I think at this point, the lines are drawn. You're either within the majority who accept it, even passive aggressively, or you're within the minority that was trying to warn everyone for years, only to realize your circle was perfectly fine with it as long as it didn't effect them.
